- A title search is not a role count: "software engineer" returns 6,517 roles in 30 days, while the same work also appears as SDE, application developer or platform engineer.
- Open is not the same as reachable: a posting can outlive the employer's attention, so every role shows its age.
- No index is complete: roles advertised only on classifieds or through recruiters do not appear.

Each employer's board is re-read on a schedule. Postings carry the employer's own date where the board publishes one. Windows use that date, not our discovery date, and undated postings are excluded rather than guessed at.
