What we keep, what we never keep, and how to have it deleted.

Who we are

Avagama Consulting is an agentic AI consulting firm based in India. We run this website and Openings, a job-search tool for AI assistants. Questions and requests go to info@avagama.co.

This website

avagama.co uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. Google sets cookies for that purpose and processes the data under its own terms. We do not run ads and we do not sell or share visitor data with anyone else. The public job pages under avagama.co/openings/jobs show job titles, employers, locations, and links to employers' own postings; they never show job descriptions and they hold nothing about you.

Openings on your own machine

If you install Openings locally, it runs on your computer. Your resume is parsed there for a single request and is never written to disk by Openings and never sent to us or to any employer.

Two things do leave your machine, and you can switch off both:

• Job listings you crawl. Public postings from employer boards are sent to our shared index so other people's first setup is faster. Setting OPENINGS_AGGREGATOR_URL to an empty string keeps everything local.
• An anonymous usage record. Under a random install ID stored on your machine: which tool ran, the countries, roles, skills, and search text you asked for, which jobs you opened, and the skill and title words extracted from your resume. Never the resume itself, the quoted evidence, your name, or your contact details, and no IP address is stored with it. Setting OPENINGS_USAGE=off stops it.

Openings as a connector, with an account

If you add Openings to your AI app at openings.avagama.co, you sign in with an email code and we create an account. For that account we keep:

• Your email address, your name if your app provides one, and the time you signed up.
• Sign-in and connection records. The one-time codes you request, which expire after ten minutes, your sessions, and the authorisation your AI app holds to act for you, which you can revoke from the app at any time.
• An activity record with the same fields as the anonymous usage record above, keyed to your account, plus the outcome of each recommendation: whether it found matches, how far it widened the time window, and how many roles it returned.

Your resume is not stored. When your app sends it to us, we process it in memory for that one request and discard it. It is not written to disk, not logged, and not used to train anything. If we ever add a feature that keeps any part of it, such as a job monitor that remembers your skills to watch for new roles, it will be off until you turn it on, and this page will say so first.

Sign-in emails are sent through Resend from openings@hey.avagama.co. Resend processes your address to deliver the message.

Saved searches and job alerts

If you ask us to email you new roles for a search, we store your email address, the search itself (the words, country, city, remote and experience filters), the date you confirmed it, and the job identifiers we have already emailed you so we never send the same role twice. Nothing else about you is kept, and we never link a saved search to a resume.

We send nothing until you confirm the address from the link we email you. Confirming sets the starting line: you only receive roles we find after that moment, never the ones already on the site. Each email says whether the employer posted a role recently or we simply found it recently, and every email carries a link that stops the alert. Using that link deletes the saved search and its record of what was sent. You can also write to info@avagama.co and we will delete it for you.

What we never do

• We never apply to a job, submit a form, or contact an employer on your behalf.
• We never sell personal data or share it with employers, recruiters, or advertisers.
• We never store resume text, quoted evidence, or the content of your conversations with your AI app.

Where data lives and for how long

Our servers are in Canada, with OVH in Montréal; if you use Openings from India or elsewhere, your account data is transferred there. Account data is kept while your account exists. The anonymous usage record and the shared job index are kept for as long as they are useful for improving coverage; job listings drop out of the index when the employer removes them. Server logs, which include IP addresses for security, are rotated within seven days.

Deleting your data

Email info@avagama.co from the address on your account and we delete the account, its sessions, its authorisations, and its activity record within seven days. For a local install, deleting the folder under your home directory named .openings removes the install ID and everything Openings stored on your machine.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask for corrections, and ask for deletion. We answer within thirty days. Openings is not intended for children under sixteen and we do not knowingly create accounts for them.

Changes

When this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. Changes that affect what we keep about you are announced inside Openings before they take effect.
